Our education programme gives children the books, materials and activities to learn, play and grow.
Many schools in Cañete, where we currently work, lack the basics: books, exercise books, pencils, teaching materials and sports equipment. Teachers do their best with what they have, but children need more to discover what they are capable of.
With our education programme, we support schools with learning, sports and creative materials and activities. Always tailored to what children and teachers themselves need. We listen first, and then work with head teachers, teachers and parents on achievable steps.

- An annual starter pack of school supplies, so that every child has the basics to learn throughout the school year.
- Topping up learning materials at school, such as books for the library.
- Teaching materials that help teachers make their lessons livelier and better.
- Sports equipment and creative materials, because playing and moving are just as important as learning.
- Activities at school that match the wishes of children and teachers.
- Training for teachers, so that they can put new knowledge and skills into practice in the classroom straight away.
- New subjects in lessons, such as English, sex education and sustainability.
Who is the education programme for?
The education programme is for children at primary schools in Peru where resources are limited. We currently work in Cañete, together with five schools in four villages.
Children
They get the materials and the space to learn, play and discover what they are capable of.
Teachers
They get better teaching materials and training, so that they can enrich their lessons.
Schools and parents
Together with them, we decide what is needed. That way, what we do remains in the hands of the community itself.
This is how, together with the schools in Cañete, we are building step by step towards a good start for every child.
