Use your talent
for every child.

Help give children in Peru a good start. With your time, knowledge and enthusiasm, together we are building the MOTAS for Kids Foundation.

Why become a volunteer?

As a volunteer, you make a difference behind the scenes. Without your help, we can reach fewer children.

  1. 01

Use your talent for something that matters

Whether you are good at writing, filming, organising or storytelling: your talent helps children in Peru get a better start.

  2. 02

    Help build a young foundation

We are small and still growing. Your ideas are heard and you see straight away what your contribution achieves.

  3. 03

    Gain experience

Learn new things and gain experience you can take with you into your studies, your job or onto your CV.

  4. 04

    Work with a committed team

You work alongside people who, like you, want to make a difference, in the Netherlands and in Peru.

Where we need support

Our work is divided across four core teams. Choose the team that suits you, or tell us what you are good at.

  • Children playing hand in hand under the canopy in the schoolyard

    Programmes and Impact

Help shape our programmes in Peru: from planning and liaising with the schools to measuring and sharing our impact.

Frequently asked questions

How much time does it take?

That is up to you. Some volunteers help a few hours a month, others a few hours a week. In the introductory conversation we agree together on what works for you.

Can I help from home?

Yes, much of the work can be done online, such as communication, fundraising and preparing programmes. For fundraisers and guest lessons at schools you will sometimes be on location.

Do I need to speak Spanish?

No, you do not. If you do speak Spanish, that is a welcome bonus, for example for contact with the schools in Cañete.

Will I be paid?

Volunteering with us is unpaid. If you have costs for your volunteering, we will discuss together what we can reimburse.

Do I need a certificate of conduct (VOG)?

If your role involves working with children, for example during guest lessons, we will ask you for a Dutch certificate of conduct, the Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag (VOG). We will help you apply for it.
