When Jack started playing football, he found a new passion
He was younger and smaller than most of the children on the pitch, but no one played with as much joy as Jack. His passion for football taught us something we will never forget.
A boy who stood out
For a while, we were a regular presence at Jack’s school. Through our Education programme, we provided sports equipment and sports shirts. We saw lots of children having fun, but Jack is one of the children who has stayed with us most.
It did not matter to him that the others were bigger. As soon as a ball started rolling, Jack was at the front. With a huge smile, full of energy and full of conviction.
Perspective
Sometimes change does not start with something big, but simply with perspective. Jack showed us how much a ball, a shirt and a place to play can mean to a child. We take that image with us wherever we go.
Sometimes change simply starts with perspective. And the perspective Jack gave us will stay with us forever.
Cheerful on the pitch, motivated in class
Jack now enjoys structured PE lessons together with his classmates. He takes part in all kinds of sports, but football remains his great love. And he takes the cheerfulness he shows on the pitch with him into the classroom. There, too, he is happy and motivated.
Sport brings young and old together. That is what Jack’s passion has taught us. On the pitch, it does not matter how big or how old you are. Everyone belongs.
