Sharon brings parents together as chair of the parents’ council

As chair of the parents’ council, Sharon is the link between parents and the school. She listens, contributes ideas and makes sure everyone feels heard. Now she is also working with us to build a better future for the children in her village.
The voice of the parents
Sharon is a mother of children at the school and chair of the parents’ council. Parents come to her with questions, ideas and concerns. She brings people together and makes sure the parents’ voice is heard.
It started with a smile
Our partnership began during our introductory visit to the school of one of her children. We organised activities with the children, and Sharon watched. She saw how enthusiastically her child joined in.
At that moment, she realised she wanted to help build what the MOTAS for Kids Foundation is trying to create. Not just for her own child, but for all the children in the village.
When parents and school work together, every child wins. That is why it is so important that everyone has a say.
Building together
That is where building together began. Sharon is now the foundation’s contact person. She helps us find out what parents want and makes sure plans have the support of the community. That way, we know for certain that our support matches what is really needed.
Step by step, we keep on building. With Sharon, with the parents and with the school. Together for the children of the village.
